Ministry of Defence Temporary Danger Area to enable RPAS Test and Evaluation Activity

This proposal is for a Temporary change to the notified airspace design, for which a scaled airspace change process applies and a change level is not applicable.

There is a requirement for test and evaluation (T&E) activity for Protector in the vicinity of EGD207.

Flight profiles necessary to complete the T&E extend beyond the airspace limits of EGD207. Therefore, additional airspace is required to ensure segregation of Protector during the activity. The provisional timeline is planned to commence autumn 2024 and is anticipated to comprise of 8 sorties of approximately 4.5 hours each.

Airspace surrounding EGD207 is class G, thus necessitating a form of segregated airspace to accommodate the profiles required to complete the Protector T&E activity.

This is the area which may be affected by this airspace change depending on its development. This area may change as the proposal is developed.
