The LAMP airspace
change was originally planned to be deployed in a series of sequential
implementations, covered by one Airspace Change Proposal (ACP).
Given the
requirements of CAP1616, it has been agreed with the CAA that the project should
be split into several ACPs. This will make
consultation and engagement with the stakeholders less complex and facilitates
structured regulatory approval where the schedule of planned deployments spans several
years.
ACP-2017-70 has been amended and the scope reduced such that this ACP will
now only cover the changes included in LAMP deployment 1 (LD1) which includes airspace above
7,000ft over the south west of England and most of Wales. The geographical area shown on the CAA Airspace change portal has been
updated to reflect the corresponding area.
We continue to
finalise the scope of the other deployments, and ACPs relating to these
deployments will be created on the portal in due course.
The CAA has agreed
that the Stage 1 for the LAMP ACP is valid for this and the subsequent
deployments. As such, the subsequent
LAMP ACPs when created, will commence at CAP1616 Stage 2.
