Following on
from our last update to you we have been working on processing the feedback
that we have received from all stakeholders. This has enabled us to
further develop the airspace trial plan and the associated operational safety
cases. We have also started to define the full concept of operation
through our discussions with the CAA innovation team and carrying out some low
scale testing in a live environment (utilising the Danger Area complex to the
south of Cornwall). With a ‘pathfinder’ project such as ours, the CAA
have stated that more time will be required to provide feedback on the best way
to phase in the BVLOS operation into the TMZ airspace. We understand that
this will be available within the next 4 weeks and once we have received this,
we will be able to provide you with a more formal update. To this end, we
will arrange further engagement sessions in Q2 of 2023.
