Purpose of this change

This proposal is for a Permanent change to the notified airspace design, and the change level is 2C.

In order to facilitate the eventual removal and decommissioning of the LYD DVOR, the LYD 6R/ 5S SIDs from Stansted Airport will be removed. Traffic routeing via LYD will use the DET 1R/ 1S SIDs which are coincident with the LYD SIDs as far as DET.

CAA response to Step 6

Following the approval of this ACP, NATS requested amendments to the wording on the proposed SID plate. The detail of the amendments can be found in the Update Statement provided by NATS (CAA Portal, 11 Jun 21). The CAA reviewed the proposed amendments, and discussed their purpose and possible impacts with NATS. The CAA approves the amendments and is satisfied with the Sponsor’s conclusion that there will be no impacts, beyond those already addressed, as a result the amendments.
