Purpose of this change

This proposal is for a Permanent change to the notified airspace design, and the change level is 3.

London Gatwick aims to replace and upgrade the instrument landing system (ILS) servicing runway 26L and 08R to ensure improved support of low visibility arrival operations at the airport.

This replacement will include adjustment and repositioning of some of the elements of the ILS, which will necessitate changes to the relevant entries in the Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP).

Additionally, the Final Approach Fix (FAF) in the 26L runway direction will be adjusted to 3000ft to align with the current 08R FAF setting.
