Purpose of this change

This proposal is for a Temporary change to the notified airspace design, for which a scaled airspace change process applies and a change level is not applicable.

Protector is currently limited to operating at only two military airfields in the UK. To enable access to an additional location, RNAS Yeovilton, this ACP aims to initially establish temporary airspace for safe and efficient entry/exit to the airfield as soon as practicable. Due to the performance of onboard systems, together with the air system flight profiles and surrounding airspace classification, an ACP is the appropriate process to support safe integration of Protector into the national airspace structures and in accordance with current military flying regulations.
